Hey you wild Women!

Tina Haupert is the founder of Carrots ‘N’ Cake, a popular blog dedicated to sharing her love of food, staying fit, and living a healthy life. What initially began as a personal blog to hold herself accountable as her wedding day approached morphed into CNC at present— a go-to resource for all things healthy living, from her love of delicious food (and wine), to fun workouts, quick beauty and fashion tips, and the ‘true life’ of tackling a chronic illness (ulcerative colitis) head first.

Her journey with a chronic illness and working closely with female nutrition clients inspired her to become a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P) in 2019. She knew when dealing with her own health issues and helping other women improve their body composition goals, there was always more to the story than simply eating well and exercise. Stress, gut health, and hormones were often key players, so now she uses functional testing and a whole health approach to help her clients (and myself).

She is the author of three books, Carrots 'n' Cake: Healthy Living One Carrot and Cupcake at a Time, The Part-time vegetarian, and The Everything Macro Cookbook.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • How Tina believes “The best is yet to come”

  • How to just keep pushing through

  • How her breaking point was balancing a full-time job and starting a business

  • How she believes that anything is possible

  • Her biggest mistake was not having a clear idea of what to do

  • How having a bigger picture plan is crucial

  • Laying out what a partnership looks like

  • Started Carrots n Cake to organize her fitness and healthy recipes so that she could look good for her wedding date

  • Explains macros: Is protein, carbs, and fat.

  • Why she transitioned to 1-1 coaching away from just blogging to grow her business

  • Bad gut health symptoms are often associated to gas, bloating, skin issues, hormone imbalance, anxiety, sleep issues.

  • How batching is key to being organized

  • How not to be distracted by the mundane.

What it means to be a wild woman:

“Believe in yourself. Jump in with two feet and just do it.” ~Tina Haupert
